WES BAYERS, DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES

Wes manages the maintenance of the church facilities and grounds at Brookwood Baptist Church and supervises the custodial staff. He has over 20 years experience in construction, remodeling, and painting -- specializing in faux finishes. He currently serves as worship leader at the Birmingham Prayer Furnace. He is married to Linda. They have an adult daughter, Stephanie, and two grandchildren, Hunter and Katelyn. In his spare time, Wes enjoys fishing and music. He also is the author of "The 12 Inch Journey," about the relationship of the heart to the tongue. He also has a CD out called "Simple Songs."

DIANE DUKE, EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER DIRECTOR

A graduate of Thompson High School in Alabaster, Diane earned her CDA from Jefferson State College in 1994. She has worked in child care for over 22 years, all at Brookwood Baptist Church where she became Executive Director in 2007. Diane attends Kingwood First Assembly of God Church in Alabaster. She is married to Bob. They have two children, Chad and Laurie. Her hobbies include hunting, reading, and doing yard work.

KAREN PHILLIPS, DIRECTOR OF FINANCIAL OPERATIONS

After earning a degree from Birmingham-Southern College in Elementary Education, Karen went on to complete the Accounting Equivalency program at UAB. She earned her CPA certification in 1998 and worked for Deloitte & Touche for several years. Karen attends Brookwood with her husband Scott, and their two children, Carley (9) and Will (6). She enjoys Alabama football, sewing and reading.
