Discovery Clubs

Almost half the elementary children in inner-city Birmingham have never been to church or heard the Gospel, so we take the Gospel to them in their schools for 60 minutes each week. Approximately 1,000 children in 2nd–5th grades in 14 schools currently participate.

Discovery Clubs takes free, after-school Bible clubs to second through fifth grade children on public school campuses--a modern-day mission field! This fun-filled hour consists of a snack, Bible lesson, memory verses, praise and worship through singing, dancing, crafts, small group prayer and mentoring time. Local churches sponsor these clubs through prayer, financial, and volunteer support. Discovery Clubs meet in schools throughout the Birmingham area for one hour each week for 23 weeks.
