Enrichment Opportunities

The Early Childhood Center of Brookwood Baptist Church offers a variety of enrichment opportunities for your child. Our enrichment classes begin with our two-year-old classes and continue through our five-year-old kindergarten class. Your tuition includes:

Our enrichment teachers are professionals in their field and have years of experience in our tenure. Each class has a session with the enrichment teacher, except for corporate worship in the Chapel.

For an additional fee, we offer other additional enrichment opportunities for your child. The following is a list of these resources for your consideration:

Compuquest (For info, call 979-1250)
This computer literacy program features interactive, multimedia software; five computers per class; 45-minute classes weekly, certified teachers; small group classes; computer literacy skills; reinforcement of basic skills; social skills development; age-appropriate lessons; and take-home handouts Monthly tuition is $40, billed by mail at the beginning of the month. There is a 25% sibling discount. Tuition is reduced on a pro-rata basis for any month with less than four classes. No refunds for missed classes.

Head Over Heels Gymnastics
Gymnastics promote coordination, flexibility, and balance. We teach gymnastics at your child's individual level in a fun, creative, and positive environment, therefore developing self-confidence, a love for fitness, and a sense of achievement. Skills are taught on the swing bar, balance beam, trampoline, springboard, tumbling apparatus, and other fun props. Classes at Brookwood meet on Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3:15 p.m. (45-minute class). Children can register at any time. After the first class of the month, the second month's tuition will be pro-rated. No tuition refunds after the second class of the month. Withdrawals from class require a 30-day written notice. There are three levels of registration: Bronze ($58) includes $20 registration fee and first month's tuition; Silver ($71) is the same as Bronze, but also includes a Head Over Heels T-shirt; Gold ($86) same as Bronze, but includes a T-shirt and blue tumbling shorts. Bailey Dance Classes

Emily Bailey teaches dance once a week at Brookwood. A graduate of Auburn University with a BS in child development, Emily has managed several childcare centers and has taught ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical dance to children and adults for over 14 years. She was a scholarship winner in college to Broadway Dance Center in New York City for ballet. She also teaches couples dancing. She teaches and competes in dancing all over the country. Cost of dance class is $45 a month and due on the first class of each month. Dance attire includes pink or black leotards, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes.
