Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (Oct. 22-31, 2010)Father is always at His work to this very day, and I too am working...
I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself: He can do only what He sees His Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son does also. For the Father loves the Son and shows Him all He does. John 5:17, 19-20 A medical mission trip to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is planned for October 22-31, 2010. There will be more information to come. Keep checking for updates.
ABOUT LAST YEAR'S MISSION

Brazil is the largest country in South America, only slightly smaller than the United States. The national language is Portuguese and the predominant religion is Roman Catholic. However, Spiritism is also a very popular belief.
Rio is a city on the east coast of Brazil, with a population of more than 8 million people. The Brookwood team will be holding a medical missions clinic, complete with medical exams, dental exams, eye exams, and a pharmacy for filling prescriptions. The most important part of our work will be evangelism, for it is involved in every aspect of the clinic. We will also be going door-to-door in the local community. We want every person to know that they are loved, cared for, and that they can have eternal life through Jesus Christ.
In their work, they used tools such as Evangecubes and accompanying Portuguese tracts that serve as effective aids in leading new believers to the Lord. "The New Life in Christ" discipleship materials provide a solid foundation for guiding groups through their first Bible study experience. What a privilege it has been to see God call out the members of these mission teams, some with many years of mission work experience and medical expertise, others with a first-time passion for medical missions. It is amazing to see God pull together His people from all corners of the world and various walks of life to work toward one common God-centered and God-initiated work in Rio.
