MELINDA DRESSLER, ORGANIST

Melinda earned her bachelor of arts in music from Samford University and attended graduate school at the University of Alabama where she was a student of Amanda Penick and represented the piano graduate division as a soloist at the Alabama Music Teachers Convention. During her sophomore year at Samford in 1971, she came to Brookwood to serve as pianist. After the sanctuary was completed, she became organist in 1984. Melinda also conducts two adult handbell choirs. Melinda and husband Ralph have two children, Emily and Lee. Her hobbies include playing tennis, working sudoku puzzles, and playing ping pong.
JESSICA RIEKE HEINE, CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP LEADER

Since the age of 15, Jessica has been leading worship, starting in her hometown of Paducah, KY. In 2001, Jessica moved to Birmingham and joined the band for college ministry, University Christian Fellowship where she led around 600 college students in worship each week. Jessica spent her college summers in camp ministry and, in 2004, expanded her efforts as a songwriter and released her first solo project entitled "Casting Daylight." In 2007, she released her second CD, "Finding a Fugitive." Jessica currently divides her time between leading contemporary worship at Brookwood, and traveling with her band. Jessica's husband is Jeff Heine.
TIM BANKS, MINISTER OF MUSIC

Tim joined the staff in September 2009. He received the Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Voice from Samford University; the Master of Music and the Doctor of Musical Arts in conducting from the University of Colorado Boulder. He is the conductor of the Samford's A Cappella Choir. Dr. Banks has served as the Director of Choruses for the Alabama Symphony Orchestra.His international study and concert performance credits include work in England, France, Belgium, Germany, Spain and the People's Republic of China. He is married to Wanda Alexander Banks, and they have two daughters, Allison and Abigail.

BRENT REEVES, PIANIST

Since 2001, Brent Reeves has served as pianist and accompanies the youth and adult choirs and congregational singing during the traditional service. He received his BA degree in music from Samford University, a master's degree in music from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a doctor of music arts in piano performance from the University of Alabama. Brent served as pianist at Mount Calvary Baptist Church (Albertville, AL) and Arapaho Road Baptist Church (Garland, TX). He also was organist at Huffman Baptist Church. Brent also is an independent instructor of piano in his home studio. He and wife Lorna have two children, Emma and Phillip. His interests include reading, geography, and yard work.
