Early Childhood Ministry

Brookwood's Early Childhood Ministry has committed faith trainers, an innovative curriculum, and a newly renovated space for our preschoolers. It is our desire for each child to learn that, without a doubt, "Jesus Loves Me This I Know!" Brookwood's children are able to discover God's truths through Bible lessons, puppet shows, creative presentations, and family mission days.

As the Lord builds our children a foundation of faith, it is important that their parents be equipped and encouraged as they strive to be the primary spiritual providers for them. Equipping seminars, Bible studies, and intergenerational mentoring are all avenues with which to encourage young parents.

In Hosea 11:4 (NIV), God speaks about Israel saying, "I led them with cords of human kindness, with ties of love." In the Early Childhood Ministry at Brookwood, it is our desire to let God show us how to lead our children with cords of kindness and ties of love so that they will understand that Jesus loves them, died for them, and has a very specific plan just for them!

Sunday Mornings

On Sunday mornings, the Early Childhood Bible study teachers are teaching our children that they can know that God is their Creator, and that He not only made us, but He loves us and knows what is best for us!

Please enter the newly renovated children’s area by the children’s steeple on the west side of the church.

During the 8:30 a.m.and 11:00 a.m. worship services, ages birth-1year will have childcare and ages 2-4 years will participate in Wee Worship with Bible stories, songs, skits, and puppets. Kindergarteners will attend the worship service.

Sunday Morning Bible Study Groups begin at 9:45 a.m. During this time, Brookwood’s children will sing such songs as “He’s got the Whole World in His Hands” as they learn that God has made each one of them special and has an incredible plan for their lives. They will learn of God’s love and power through Bible teaching and age-appropriate crafts and action games that relate to the teaching.

Infants and toddlers will be prayed for as they play and listen to songs about God’s love.

Wednesday Evenings

5:00-6:00 p.m.

6:00-6:30 p.m.

During Sonshine Time for ages birth-2 years, the children will enjoy praising God with musical instruments.
In Preschool Praise, ages 3-5 years will praise God with song and instruments.

6:30-7:00 p.m.

There is childcare for ages birth-2 years, and ages 3-5 years will experience Missions Live as they learn about caring for others through discovering missions in the Bible and missions in our world.

Childcare Workers

Part-time work is available for persons to provide childcare services on Sunday mornings during Bible study and worship services and during Wednesday evening activities. Individuals should be Christian, mature, and have a love of children. All workers must consent to a background check.
