The GRACE Ministry encourages women to GROW RICHLY through spiritual formation, seeking always to be in communion with Jesus Christ. As we grow our relationship with Christ and each other, then we will experience the peace, patience, and gratitude, allowing us to bless others as we are blessed.

We also seek to CHOOSE EXCELLENCE in all that we do as daughters, wives, mothers, single parents, grandmothers...encouraging each other in faith and being encouraged by those around us.

The goal of our ministry is to bless the women of Brookwood and, through them, the women of our communities and beyond.

BETH MOORE STUDY

We have been inspired by her powerful knowledge of scripture and her ability to share the relevance of her passion for the WORD with each of us. GIRLS NIGHT OUT

Revolving around a potluck supper, these off-campus gatherings will be trans-generational to help a cross-section of women get acquainted, build relationships, discover commonalities, and enjoy each other’s company. There will be food, fun, fellowship, and "girl talk." Stay tuned for details on this event!

WOMEN'S RETREAT

The Last Annual Women’s Retreat was Fri. and Sat., Feb. 6-7, 2009. Theme was Take Heart. Guest speaker was Kelly Isaacson Buck, with Sara Beth Geoghegan as musician. Stay tuned for information on the next Women's Retreat.

SOUTHERN SCAPES

Usually held in each spring, Southern Scapes is an experience in Southern Hospitality! Hospitality is a spiritual gift as a way of sharing God's generous love with each other. At this highly anticipated annual event, the ladies of Brookwood adorn tables with charming designs from whimsical to classical, outrageous to audacious! The evening includes dinner and guest speaker. Stay tuned for information on the next Southern Scapes!

BEING OF SERVICE

The women of Brookwood will be active in missions, helping to feed the homeless at Linn Park in downtown Birmingham on the second Friday of each month (Judy Theriot, contact); assisting at the First Light Women's Shelter (Heather Brown, contact), and at Makeway Partners (Whitney Terry, Contact).
