PAULYNE COBB MEMORIAL LIBRARY
Come visit the Paulyne Cobb Memorial Library, right next to the Welcome Center on the second floor of Building A. Materials are now organized by category, and a procedure has been posted to help you locate and check out books, CDs, and DVDs if a library team member isn’t on hand to assist.
Teaching Resources
Group and individual study books for sale are located on the shelves to the right as you enter the library. Study kits for checkout are located on the shelves to the left of the door. Books for children and youth are being inventoried and relocated to their respective department areas.
Historical Items
Due to lack of space, historical items have been relocated to Building A. For access to these items, please contact the Director of Operations
Library History
The library was established in 1974 and named after the late Paulyne Cobb, BBC charter member and mother of Carolyn Josey and the late Ginny Hazelrig. Carolyn shares, “In the early days, we would meet once a week, bring our lunch and typewriters, and work on getting the library organized.” The library was first located in the attic and later moved to the first floor of Building A. The library was recently renovated and reorganized.
